The thing about Italians is that they love to travel. You can travel to any part of the world, and chances are you will hear Italian speech at least once during your trip. We are lovers of culture, and feed on our curiosity of the world. Our love for adventure is also infectious. If you live in Italy, you will catch the “travel bug.” The other thing about Italians is that they always come back.
El Ogorodova was raised in Italy since she was two years old. Like most of the Italians. she grew up with, she loves to travel. In fact, she loves it so much that her education and career took her all the way to the United States. Today, El Ogorodova works in the Motion Design industry in California. Although she is an ocean away from home, her European ties have never faded. El continues to work internationally; serving clients in both Europe and North America.
On top of working in Motion Design, El also designs logos; which is what caught our attention.
El collaborated with the notorious Milan based Event Planning organization called On The Spot Events. The international event planning group organizes many of events in dream cities such as Milan, Cote d’Azur, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, London, Miami, Ibiza, and other locations.
Strategy Specialist & Event Coordinator, Rebecca Arippol reached out to El Ogorodova to re-create On The Spot Event’s identity to better represent the company’s rapid international growth. Ogorodova approached the logo carefully. This wasn’t just a logo for a company; this was a logo that had to blend in at a wedding, birthday, bar mitzvah, graduation, and any other possible events you could think of.
El combined a classic with a modern typeface, forming a fusion of elegance and contemporary style. “The logotype delivers a fresh, yet sophisticated look which can adapt seamlessly to any occasion On The Spot Events is hired to organize,” Said El while talking about the project to us.
Within the logotype lies the logo. An abstract deconstruction of a target; reminding the customer that whatever the aim On The Spot Events will deliver right on target.
The logo has been successfully adapted to the On The Spot Events branding. It is flexible aesthetic allows it to work as patterns and framing devices, thus truly becoming the company’s signature.
So there you go, even after moving to the other side of the world, El Ogorodova couldn’t resist an opportunity to work with Italy once again.
